Saludos a todos! Here we are at the airport awaiting transport to Suchitoto. After traveling through the night, we were welcomed with open arms by Sister Peggy at El Centro Arte para la Paz (Art Center for Peace) We were served a delicious lunch and then took a tour of this beautiful Sister City of ours. Today is Labor day (as it is in most Latin American countries), so we truly got to experience the peaceful atmosphere and delightful community of this city. Our learning experiences in the short time we have been here will last a life time. Many students showed appreciation for the simplicity of life here, it truly is a beautiful place! Due to our long day's travel and amazing learning opportunities I will leave you this evening with a quote by Sister Peggy: "You own your own life; heart and soul. You need to know what starts your fire and more importantly the world needs to know." Again I want to thank all the people that have made this trip a reality for us. The support from families, the school and our community will continuously enhance our experiences and learning opportunities throughout our travels in El Salvador and Costa Rica.
